What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to function; others are used for analytics or advertising.
What CopyAware uses
CopyAware uses only strictly-necessary storage. Session cookies keep you signed in (set by Supabase, our authentication provider). One cookie, ca_consent, remembers your answer to our privacy banner for about six months, so we don't ask on every visit. Your light or dark theme is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. None of these track you across other sites.
Product analytics, only with your consent
We do not set advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell your data. If product analytics is enabled, our banner asks before anything is recorded. Only if you accept do our servers send two events to PostHog, our analytics provider: when you sign up, and when you start a checkout. These are sent from our servers and set no analytics cookie in your browser. If you decline, or don't answer, nothing is recorded.
Controlling cookies
Change your analytics choice at any time with Cookie settings, in the site footer, under the data pages, on the sign-in pages and on your account page; a change applies to everything recorded from then on. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookies will sign you out and stop the app from working; clearing ca_consent simply means we ask again.
