Getting started

Your first result in about two minutes, with nothing to connect.

  • How do I get my first result?

Open Correlation and add the Popular Investors you copy, by username, in the “Add a trader” box. With two or more traders in the basket, CopyAware shows the correlation matrix, your concentration score and the holdings overlap of the most closely linked pair straight away. There is no scan to run and nothing to install.

    Open Correlation

  • Do I need an account?

Not to look around. The screener, Correlation and trader pages work without signing up. A free account lets you save a basket and keep a watchlist, and it doesn't ask for a card.

    Create a free account

  • Do I need to connect my eToro account?

No. CopyAware never connects to your eToro account and never asks for your eToro login. Everything runs on eToro's public data about Popular Investors, so your open positions are never at risk.

  • Does CopyAware place trades or give advice?

Neither. CopyAware is read-only analytics: it never places, changes or closes a trade. It shows you the numbers and explains them in plain language, but it isn't financial advice. Every decision stays yours.

The screener

Every Popular Investor CopyAware tracks, ranked and filterable.

  • What does the screener show?

Every Popular Investor in CopyAware's daily snapshot, with their CopyAware Score, eToro risk score, return, win ratio and copiers. Sort by any column, or narrow the list with filters.

    Open the screener

  • What are the presets?

One-click starting points: Everyone, Highest scores (70 and up), Calm (risk 1–3), Consistent (70%+ winning trades), Most copied (1,000+ copiers) and Gaining copiers. Pick one, then refine it with the filters.

  • How do I analyze traders straight from the screener?

Tick the traders you're interested in, up to 12 at a time. Once you've picked two or more, a bar appears with “Analyze these”, which opens Correlation with exactly those traders in the basket.

  • What's on a trader's page?

Click any name to see that trader's cumulative return, drawdown, monthly returns, current holdings and similar Popular Investors. Pro adds a plain-language profile read and a comparison with their closest peers.

Baskets and correlation

How the traders you copy move together, measured.

  • What is a basket?

The group of Popular Investors you copy, or are thinking of copying, analyzed together. CopyAware looks at the basket as a whole rather than one trader at a time, because that's where hidden concentration shows up.

  • How is correlation measured?

Pearson correlation on each pair of traders' daily returns, taken from eToro's own history, over at least 30 shared days. 1.0 means two traders move identically; near 0 means they move independently; a negative number means they tend to move in opposite directions.

  • What is holdings overlap?

How much of two traders' current portfolios sits in the same positions, weighted by size. Two traders can have different return histories and still hold many of the same stocks today, which overlap catches.

  • How do I save a basket?

Build it on Correlation, then use “Save basket”. Free saves 1 basket; Pro saves up to 100. Saved baskets appear on your Dashboard, and Compare puts two of them side by side.

Concentration score

One number for how much of your basket is really one bet.

00.300.601
Diversified
Under 0.30
Worth watching
0.30 to 0.60
Concentrated
Above 0.60
  • What is the concentration score?

A single number from 0 to 1 for your whole basket: the average return correlation across every pair of traders in it, with pairs that move in opposite directions counted as 0. Under 0.30 is diversified, 0.30 to 0.60 is worth watching, above 0.60 is concentrated. Holdings overlap is a separate check you read alongside it.

  • What do the bands mean?

Under 0.30 is diversified: the traders mostly move on their own. 0.30 to 0.60 is worth watching: some of them move together. Above 0.60 is concentrated: a large share of the basket rises and falls as one.

  • My traders look different. Why is my score high?

Different names, styles or countries don't guarantee different results. If several traders ride the same momentum or hold the same large positions, their returns line up and the score rises. The correlation matrix and movement clusters on Correlation show which pairs are responsible.

  • Is a high score a signal to stop copying someone?

No. The score is information, not advice. It tells you how concentrated the basket is; what you do about it is your call.

CopyAware Score

Each trader's risk-adjusted quality, from 0 to 100.

  • What is the CopyAware Score?

A 0 to 100 rating of each Popular Investor's risk-adjusted quality. It weighs the return they earn per unit of risk, how consistent that return has been, and how many people trust them with their money.

  • How is it different from eToro's risk score?

eToro's 1–10 risk score describes how volatile a trader's portfolio is. The CopyAware Score asks whether the return was worth that risk. A calm trader can score low, and a busier one can score high, if the returns justify it.

  • Is a high score a recommendation?

No. It summarizes past, publicly reported performance. Past returns don't guarantee future ones, and the score says nothing about whether a trader suits you.

Watchlist

Keep an eye on traders you haven't copied yet.

  • How do I watch a trader?

Use the “Watch” button on any trader's page. They then appear on your Watchlist, in the app sidebar, with their latest figures from each daily refresh. Click “Watching” to stop.

    Open your watchlist

  • How many traders can I watch?

10 on Free and 500 on Pro. The sidebar and your Account page show how many you're using.

  • Will I get alerts when something changes?

Not yet. Drift alerts, which tell you when a saved basket moves toward concentration, are coming soon. For now, the Watchlist and Dashboard show the latest numbers each time you visit.

Plans and billing

What's free, what Pro adds, and how to manage it.

  • What does Free include?

The full screener, correlation, the concentration score, trader pages, 1 saved basket and 10 watchlist traders. The analysis itself is never behind a paywall.

  • What does Pro add, and what does it cost?

Up to 100 saved baskets and 500 watchlist traders, AI-written insights on baskets and traders, and peer comparison on trader pages. Pro is $12 a month, or $9 a month billed annually, which saves 25%. Drift alerts and shareable reports are coming soon.

    Compare plans

  • How do I upgrade?

Open Plans & billing in the app sidebar, choose monthly or annual, and select “Upgrade to Pro”. Checkout opens in a secure Paddle window on the same page, and your plan switches to Pro as soon as the payment confirms, usually within a minute.

    Open Plans & billing

  • How do I change my card, get an invoice or cancel?

Open Plans & billing in the app sidebar and select “Manage billing & invoices”. That opens Paddle's secure portal, where you can update your payment method, download invoices or cancel. After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.

  • Who charges me, and what about tax?

Paddle.com, our online reseller and merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, issues the receipt (your card statement shows Paddle) and calculates any VAT or sales tax at checkout. CopyAware never sees your card details.

  • What happens to my baskets if I go back to Free?

Your account and every basket you've saved stay. You just can't save new ones beyond Free's limit.

Account and your data

Profile, password, export and deletion.

  • How do I change my name or password?

Open Account in the app sidebar. Profile sets the name shown in the app and in emails. Password changes your CopyAware password; if you sign in with Google there's no CopyAware password, so manage sign-in security in your Google account.

    Open Account

  • How do I export my data?

Open Account, go to Your data and select “Download my data”. You get one JSON file with your profile, saved baskets and watchlist. CopyAware never sees your eToro account or positions, so there's nothing else to export.

  • How do I delete my account?

Open Account, go to Delete account and select “Delete account”, then confirm with your password (or your email, if you sign in with Google) and select “Permanently delete”. Your account and all its data are erased and can't be recovered. If you pay for Pro, the subscription is cancelled first so you won't be charged again.

Data source and freshness

Where the numbers come from and how current they are.

  • Where does the data come from?

eToro's public API: each Popular Investor's reported return history, risk score, copiers and current holdings. CopyAware reads public data only. It is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by eToro.

  • How often is it updated?

Once a day, from a fresh snapshot of eToro's public data. Every data page shows when that was, as “eToro data updated” followed by the date.

  • What if the data looks out of date?

If the daily refresh hasn't run for more than three days, the date gets a warning chip showing how old the data is, and all figures are as of that date. If you see it, or a number that looks wrong, tell us.

    Report a data problem

  • Why don't my numbers match eToro exactly?

CopyAware works from the last daily snapshot, so it can trail what eToro shows live by up to a day. Correlation and concentration use the full return history, so they move more slowly than a single day's gain.
